About Vikas Grover

Father of two and husband of a renowned school teacher, he loves to run, cook, laugh and spend most of his time with kids, family and friends. Born in Chandigarh on 2nd November 1979, Vikas is a Computer Science Engineer from Nemi Chand College of Engineering (Kurukshetra Univeristy) Panipat, 2002 batch. He worked in India as a software programmer for two years and resumed his studies again in order to acquire skills in international management. He is Master in European Business (MEB) from French Graduate Business School, ESSCA, France. He has worked for large multinational companies in India and France, including IBM India, AXA Tech, Societe General (French investment bank) and in semi-government projects.

Vikas got married to the girl of his dreams on 27 April 2009. He speaks Hindi (Mother tongue), English (Fluent), French (Good), German (Average), Hungarian (Basic).Apart from his professional life, Vikas Grover has a passion for sports and its contribution to human harmony worldwide.

He participated in many marathon events both in India and outside (Paris, Colombo & Hong Kong). He completed his first international half marathon in Colombo and became the only Indian who participated in Colombo marathon 2007. He was also the first Indian who learned Bikram’s Begining Yoga classes, a series of 26 postures (asanas) at Bikram Yoga College of India in Budapest (Hungary) center. He blogs “One day my French friend Sylvain invited me for an evening jog in Rouen, near Paris. It was such an amazing experience but I realized that I needed to get fitter to enjoy it more in the future. So I started running seriously when I came back to India in 2006. By running marathons one is not only able to improve health but also to give back to society by raising funds for various NGO’s.” Vikas’ favorite quote is “The important thing in life is not the victory but the contest; the essential thing is not to have won but to have fought well.” (Baron Pierre de Coubertin 1863-1937)
